How a T-shirt dress taught me to stop saying these two words to myself

10I would like to find the person who invented the T-shirt dress and give them a big kiss. 6Seriously, this dress is one of the comfiest things I’ve ever worn β€” I felt like I was wearing jammies to church!

And it’s so easy to dress up or down. I decided to go with classy pearls and fun sandals for church, but am excited to pair it with a flannel tied around the waist or my trusty jean jacket.1387

Silly as it is, this dress is a good example of a little something I wanted to talk about today/has been on my mind: Saying “I can’t.” We should all ban that phrase from our vocabulary and way of thinking when it comes to things we’d like to do. I’ve always thought I wouldn’t look good in a T-shirt dress because of my body type, so I’ve strayed away from trying it. But I’m so glad I decided to say, “I can.”

You need to stop telling yourself you “can’t” win over that boy you’ve got a crush on or you “can’t” be good enough at your job or school or whatever it is you’re getting down on yourself for right now. If I’m telling myself I can β€” you can, too.
